Some sketches for this interesting Pokemon challenge -- [link]
Hoping to do some more and really focus on creating more variety. This is definitely a fun exercise; I'd recommend it to anyone that likes drawing Pokemon! : D

Traduction of the text:
"Did you know that...
Is speculated that the Cubones are pups of Kangashkan orphaned. When dying mother, hide underground and they use his skull and femur to defend. If, however, the baby is raised by his Kangashkan mother, will remain in that species, growing big and healthy."

This is a myth and not fact. I've known of this myth; however, I do not like riding on speculation and, tbh, the myth sounds like a load of horsecrap to me. The skull shape of a Cubone looks nothing like a Kangashkan. It actually looks a lot more like a Charizard or something (which wouldn't make much sense either, given the type)

Well, not necessarily. There are canon things in Pokemon. The Pokemon world may be fiction itself, but the world still has its canon points and there's never been a canon statement that Cubone is the child of a deceased Kangashkan
Mhmm, it is fun to imagine things for the holes in the Pokemon world-- I just don't like treating non-canon myths as real aspects of the Pokemon world, particularly when I don't really side with the myth. Cubone being an orphaned Kangashkan is kind of like an unfavorable headcanon to me, ahahah
